Giovanni Tamburi

Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer – TIP Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A.

Giovanni Tamburi is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TIP – Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A., an independent and diversified industrial group, currently the largest Italian private investor focused on mid-to-large sized companies, with investments estimated today at approximately €6 billion.

With extensive experience in both the financial and industrial sectors, he has conceived and developed a distinctive investment model based on long-term partnerships with outstanding entrepreneurs and management teams. Under his leadership, TIP has built over time one of the most significant Italian networks of entrepreneurial-co-investors, fostering growth, internationalization and capital strengthening of its portfolio companies.

He serves on the board of directors of the following leading companies (outside the TIP group’s investment vehicles): Alpitour S.p.A. (Vice Chairman), Azimut Benetti S.p.A., Amplifon S.p.A., Beta Utensili S.p.A., Dexelance S.p.A., Fondazione Altagamma, Interpump Group S.p.A. (Vice Chairman), Neos S.p.A., OVS S.p.A. (Vice Chairman), Voihotels S.p.A., and on the supervisory board of Roche Bobois Groupe SA..

Previously, he gained significant professional experience in the financial sector. From 1980 to 1991, he worked within the Euromobiliare group (Midland Bank Group), where in his later years he served as Director and Deputy General Manager of the parent company Euromobiliare S.p.A., as well as a board member of Banca Euromobiliare S.p.A. and other group companies. He was also General Manager of Euromobiliare Montagu S.p.A., the group’s investment/merchant bank.

From 1977 to 1980, he worked at the Bastogi Group as assistant to the General Manager. Earlier, from 1975 to 1977, he was a financial analyst at S.O.M.E.A. S.p.A.

During his career, he has also held significant institutional roles, including serving as a member of the governmental commission for no. Law 35/92 established by Italian Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning (Privatization Commission), and as a member of the Advisory Board for the privatizations of the Municipality of Milan in 1992–1993.

He also carried out academic activities as an adjunct professor of corporate finance at LIUC – University of Castellanza, teaching both undergraduate courses and master’s programs, from 1992 to 2004, and as an adjunct professor of extraordinary finance transactions in the master’s program at LUISS – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali in Rome, within its master’s program, from 1993 to 2003.

In 2019, he was awarded the “Parete Prize”, a recognition granted annually at Bocconi University in Milan to prominent figures from the business community who distinguish themselves for excellence, initiative and constructive spirit.

Alessandra Gritti

Vice Chair, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer – TIP Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A.

Alessandra Gritti is Vice Chair, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of TIP – Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A.. Active in the field of corporate finance since 1984, she has extensive experience in structuring extraordinary transactions, providing strategic financial advisory, and managing investments.

At TIP, she has contributed since its inception to defining the operating model and building the Group’s organizational structure, playing a central role in investment processes, in relationships with entrepreneurs and investors, and in the Group’s governance.

She serves on the board of directors of the following companies (outside the TIP Group’s investment vehicles): Alpitour S.p.A., Beta Utensili S.p.A., Chiorino S.p.A., Eataly S.p.A., Limonta S.p.A., Moncler S.p.A., OVS S.p.A., and other smaller companies.

Previously, she gained significant experience in the financial sector. From 1986 to 1994, she worked at Euromobiliare Montagu S.p.A., the company in which all the investment and merchant banking activities of the Midland Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank Group for Italy were concentrated. From 1991, she held the position of Director, subsequently assuming responsibility for the mergers and acquisitions division.

From 1984 to 1986, she worked at Mediocredito Lombardo in the Milan research department. Previously, in 1984, she began her career at the Sopaf Group (Vender family) as an analyst in a company specialized in venture capital activities.

In the past, she has served as a director of several companies, both listed and unlisted, including a banking institution. She has collaborated with institutions and specialized financial publications and is the author of numerous articles and publications in the field.

Claudio Berretti

General Manager and Executive Director – TIP Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A.

Claudio Berretti is General Manager and Executive Director of TIP. Within the group, he holds a central role in operational management, in coordinating investment activities, and in the strategic monitoring of portfolio companies.

With solid experience in corporate finance and investment transactions, he contributes to the evaluation, structuring, and execution of deals, ensuring alignment with the strategic guidelines and development objectives of the TIP group.

He serves on the board of directors of the following companies (outside the TIP Group’s investment vehicles): Alimentiamoci S.r.l., Alpitour S.p.A., Apoteca Natura S.p.A., Chiorino S.p.A., DoveVivo S.p.A., Monrif S.p.A., Mulan Group S.r.l., Neos S.p.A., SeSa S.p.A., Simbiosi S.r.l., Talent Garden S.p.A., Vianova S.p.A., Voihotels S.p.A., Zest S.p.A., and other smaller companies.

Previously, he also gained professional experience in international contexts. In 1995, he worked with Magneti Marelli UK in Cannock (Staffordshire), focusing on treasury management and financial aspects in the interaction among the finance, production, purchasing, and sales functions.

Between 1994 and 1995, he worked with Fiat UK Ltd at its London headquarters, carrying out budgeting and planning activities, cash management, and foreign exchange risk management within the finance department.

During 1993–1994, he collaborated with Federtessile in Milan, contributing to the research and development of a database dedicated to the history and prospects of training programs for the textile sector in Italy.

He is the author of numerous specialized papers, including: “Attività” and “Tempi e Costi del Processo di Quotazione”, in collaboration with Borsa Italiana S.p.A.
